the perpetual frustration of ringtones
My ringtone is The Police's King of Pain but I have yet to meet a Police fan who would actually recognize it :-( The way a song gets butchered when transformed into a single sinus wave of constant volume is usually very tragic. It is similar with recorded ringtones - those are destroyed by the limited capabilities of the phone's speaker. Polyphonous ringtones seem like worth trying out but you surely need a computer to edit one...
