Shocker -- Mobile Data A Rip-off

A British maker of mobile email software has discovered the industry's deep, dark secret: mobile data is expensive and overpriced. According to The Register, the company "became so exasperated by trying to sell its mobile data service through operators that it came to the conclusion they have a vested interest in selling overpriced data contracts." Seriously, how long did it take them to come to the conclusion that operators want people to pay high prices? It sounds like the company is saying operators don't want to sell their service, basically because it's too cheap. While we're no fans of overpriced mobile data, to be surprised that operators want to charge high prices is pretty ignorant.
