Interesting to see how say Symantec can differentiate between the bad malware and... Good malware?(No such thing) And if they do find a way; Doesnt that then kill their credibility in the Virus/Malware arena? Why would I want to use a product that selectively allows spyware? What a 3 ring circus of clowns our lawmakers have become.
No need to hire additional PPL to hide the misdoings... They know no matter the outcome there wont be a peep from the American people... The President and congress wont do anything. The US Gov out of control.
Bluff... Absolutely. In a heartbeat. At the very least it will make them think twice if they think they cant destroy the evidence. Illegal to lie to a cop during an investigation? Most likely.(obstruction) Ill take the lie, get to keep my video, accept those charges, and have an accurate account of what happened. Rather than getting my video deleted and having no other evidence than He said and I said.

It is no different than shutting down local auto shops for repairing cars with non-oem equipment. Chevy does not endorse some Asian company making alternators and selling them via NAPA, or Pep-Boys, but it is not illegal in any way shape or form... Yet.
Re: Megaupload was doing BUSINESS in the United States.

"The research comes from the Carnegie Mellon University's Initiative for Digital Entertainment Analytics (IDEA), which tracked the number of Megaupoload users in 12 countries by using Google AdWords estimates. The sales and rental data for the period came from two anonymous studios, but only for digital sales since the data for physical media was deemed "less reliable"."
