I think you've got some points, but just to be devil's advocate, ATI's guilty of the same thing -- remember the Radeon 9600? Yeah, it was slower than the 9500. :P Other than that, though, ATI is a lot better with their version names.
Instead, the real focus should be on the fact that YouTube videos themselves are advertising -- the question is just: for what?
For what? For ISP's. It's really quite basic.
Videos on Youtube advertise just how fun it is to be on the Internet, and you have to pay somebody to be on the Internet, don't you? Be it your cable provider, your cellphone provider, your local coffee shop for their WiFi -- all the same.
I don't understand why people haven't figured it out yet -- the best way to make money off of the Internet is to sell access to the Internet.
Now, just get rid of that pesky government-controlled monopoly thing, and you've got yourself a business.
Yeah, the terrorists in WoW will act nice, use proper english, and politely ask you _before_ trying to get your signature on their guild petition for "Jihad R Us" -- a clear giveaway that they're not from here!
You know, stuff like this doesn't even phase me any more or even make me sad. The people who want to see corruption in things like this will, and the people who want to ignore facts won't. Almost makes you want to stop trying.
Aye, I happen to play WoW with my father-in-law -- I've noticed older players tend to like being warriors; anyone else noticed that? It's cool, though -- he gets to bash and chop with glee while my wife and I take care of the technical stuff (healing, DPS).
