The only thing that made Hadopi different/controversial is the threat of suspending internet, which your article says is going away. That was the stick.. What else is left? Three strikes and then more strikes? The core of Hadopi was the suspension, not the strikes.

It also says that the Hadopi agency is being disbanded and they are going to dump whats left of it on some existing agency to do in their spare time.. To me, this does not seem like a better thing. Certainly it's a better thing for Sony not to provide the ability for or encourage shutting down used games, but imho they should not be saying "if your game has DRM that restricts used game sales, it's not welcome on the PS3" either.
