Yeah, I call it like I see it. Apparently, others see it my way as well, jackass.

Concerning your link, did you read the following?

"A counter claim or counter notice cannot be used to defend against or as a defense to a Takedown Notice."

Wonderful language that FURTHER screws the entity receiving the notice.

"Once the service provider (ISP/OSP) has received a valid DMCA Counterclaim or Counter Notice they must wait 10-14 days before they re-activate or allow access to the claimed infringing content."

So the original author's work is taken down for AT LEAST two weeks. Where's the penalty for Hollywood acting like the assholes that everyone perceives them to be?

Nice try, bob. We all know how this works, and no amount of spin that you try to put on it is going to help. You can't polish a turd, bob...I mean jackass.

Try again later, boy.

Geez, people, get over the notion that "libertarians" are some alternative to the ongoing neo-con fascist takeover. Yeah, Ron Paul has a few notions that sound good on the surfce, BUT he helped foster the "privatizing" of gov't, took restraints off bankers, voted to lower taxes on millionaires on the notion that riches "trickle down" instead of are "stolen up" from labor, and "paid" for those tax cuts by saddling the poor with endless phony debts. His further loony ideas would privatize the commons that the public owns: water, roads, and so on, until your every action outside of (maybe) your house, is effectively taxed and controlled by corporations. -- At best, Ron Paul was in Congress for 30 years and didn't change anything useful.

Being intolerant of a KKK member is usually nothing to do with being racist, unless you are a black power activist. As a 'white', me despising the KKK is about detesting bigotry and intolerance. However, I wouldn't automatically say 'racist' if a black friend didn't like them either.

I agree with most of what you are saying - I think we're coming at it from different angles. However, appeal to some sort of authority for assistance is one thing, having to blindly obey authority is another. Whilst you Americans have an admirable 'can-do' attitude, sometimes it seems you are a bit knee-jerk for or against when it comes to authority (and in some people in both directions).

And yes, children should be free to be children as much as possible, and learn their own consequences.
