I know very few cases where the manager profited and the artist got paid peanuts. In many cases, the artists just wasted their money. Oh sure, it does happen but it's rarer than you file sharing folks believe.

There's a free market and the artists often play several publishers off each other. The contracts are fairer than you think.

He made the film, so he clearly has something to say through the medium of film. Having his film taken down stops him from doing that, thus, his freedom of speech has been taken away.
