WiMAX Misses Another Target Date
The brief history of WiMAX has been littered with delay after delay after delay. None of these delays, though, have slowed down the hype machine. The first actual, certified WiMAX equipment was supposed to be announced this week at a trade show, but some changes to the standard mean that probably won't happen, either. Maybe the WiMAX Forum shouldn't really care if certified products ever arrive, after all, the media just can't get enough of WiMAX networks, even if none actually exist yet.
