Microsoft's New Mobile Email? Not So Secure
Microsoft has been making a big push to take on RIM in the mobile email space, with a specific focus on enterprise use (as that's where mobile email use is the most important). So, they can't be too happy to hear Gartner come out quickly with a report saying that Microsoft's system is not secure. Of course, depending on your security needs, it might not be a big deal. The issue is that since Windows Mobile powered devices may have removable storage, there's no good way to delete messages on lost devices on that removable storage. Of course, the simple solution to this? Don't lose your mobile device -- but I guess that's too much to ask.
