Motorola Invests In Increasingly Pointless Mobile Directory
Despite the fact that almost all of the national carriers have decided not to participate in a mobile directory offering, and subscribers have overwhelmingly said they'd prefer not to be included in such an offering (which would be opt-in anyway), Motorola has decided it's worthwhile to invest in the company building such a non-directory. Hope they got a good deal on the valuation. Obviously, the company can continue to grow by getting users to opt-in, but it's an uphill battle, and it seems unlikely to ever be a very big play.
