Ericsson Outshines Quarterly Results Of Rivals
Yesterday, we discussed the good news from Nokia and Motorola, which had year-over-year rises in quarterly revenues of 17% and 10% respectively. But Ericsson also exceeded expectations, and the impressive growth of its rivals by pulling in 73% more first quarter sales than last year! Much like the others, Ericsson grew in the developing world, but suffered in North America. So what's the deal in North America? Did we stop buying phones? Are there handset makers that had sales increases in this region to offset the weak sales from Moto, Nokia, and Ericsson? RIM, LG? Let's wait and see.
