Largest Maker Of 3G Phones?

While most reports coming out that look at the handset market focus on the overall market, it's also interesting to see who's specifically supplying the 3G phones. Right now, LG is making the claim that they were the largest supplier of W-CDMA phones last quarter, besting NEC who had the previous lead (though, some may wonder if it's more interesting to look at the entire 3G market, including EV-DO as well). Of course, the market for 3G phones is still quite early, so being a leader right now is somewhat meaningless in the long term. Still, it does give you a sense of who's positioning themselves as a supplier of higher end phones, versus focusing on the mass market.
