Streaming Music To Your Phone?
Sprint, who was the first to offer streaming video to phones in the US is now streaming music as well. It's nothing that impressive -- basically just taking the same sort of digital music channels found on satellite and digital cable TV systems, and offering it on the phone... for $6/month. With the rise of satellite radio and digital radio, it will be interesting to see if the mobile carriers might be able to sneak their way into this market as well. Of course, that may depend on how people really want to hear music and how willing they are to use the mobile phone as the source of that music.
