Why Smart Phones Have To Be Dumb First
With all this talk of ever smarter smart phones, Jeremy Wagstaff is pointing out that before a smart phone can be a truly useful smart phone, it first needs to be a dumb phone. That is, all of the smarts of the smart phone absolutely cannot interfere with the basic operations of the phone (making calls, taking calls). When a supposedly smart phone keeps crashing and needing to be reset, it loses it's usefulness as both a dumb and a smart phone.
