Camera Phones Making The News - Literally
Over in Holland, the nations #1 newspaper has published their second front page in a month featuring a cameraphone photo. This is some vindication (albeit redundant at this point) against the arguments that these phones offer no value and are less capable than digital cameras. While it's true that they will never take as good a picture as dedicated cameras, they will be more available, and that's half the value of a camera - to be available and ready to freeze a moment in time. The newspaper's top photographers with their Hasselblads can't match an army of regular Wims armed with VGA-grade Nokias. Sadly, the headline in question was a racially motivated murder of a filmmaker great-nephew of Vincent Van Gogh, who made a film dealing with sensitive religious issues.
