More Camera Phone Bans
The city of Kitchener, in Ontario, has decided to ban all camera phones in public bathrooms, claiming the risk of photos being taken was too great. It's not entirely clear what you're supposed to do if you have a phone on you and need to use the restroom, but don't have a place to stash it. I guess you just have to hold it, or risk arrest. Those making the ruling also don't explain why they don't simply outlaw the taking of pictures in restrooms (the action) which is probably illegal already, but have to ban the phone itself (the device). Considering that camera phones have been used in restrooms to catch rapists, this ban seems to go a bit too far.
