FOMA On The Cheap
While there are plenty of articles about how DoCoMo is chatting with Motorola (and Nokia) about offering handsets for their FOMA service, the more interesting element of this is that DoCoMo is basically looking to move FOMA from the early adopter category to a more general audience by making the phones cheaper. This is the next step following the (somewhat misinterpreted) news we reported last month concerning DoCoMo's decision to start pushing FOMA 3G over the original i-mode service (which one newspaper apparently misrepresented as retiring the i-mode brand).
