Phone Directory Search On A Mobile
In Australia, GoConnect is offering a tool to let users of Windows-enabled smart phones look up phone numbers in an online directory -- and then click to call, thereby avoiding directory assistance fees. I'm assuming they're talking about a regular phone directory, and not a mobile phone directory (which has been getting too much press lately). This isn't a huge technology leap, obviously, but it's a smart multimodal application that (for once!) leverages the fact that the device is both a phone and a data device.
