Sprint Offers Single Interface For WiFi/Cellual Data
It seems like this is the week of companies announcing combined WiFi/cellular solutions. Following Motorola and HP announcing merged (though, underwhelming) WiFi/cellular devices, Sprint is announcing a new offering that will let its customers use a single interface to log on to both WiFi networks and its 1x network. What the announcement does not seem to indicate, however, is if there is (or is going to be) a combined service offering, that will have a single subscription fee allowing users to access both WiFi hotspots and the 1xRTT network when out of range.
