Will 802.11i Drive New WiFi Sales?
eWeek is running a pretty good summary article explaining all the details of the ratification of the 802.11i security spec for WiFi equipment. The article goes through what it really includes, and what it will mean for existing equipment. The writer also ponders whether or not this will drive new WiFi equipment sales as enterprises that were previously afraid to go with WiFi will now feel a lot more comfortable while also convincing others with older equipment to upgrade.
