Headline Writers Confusing Wireless Technologies

Ugh. If you thought that it was bothersome enough that reporters were assuming that every wireless broadband offering was automatically WiMAX, check out some of the headlines about today's Sprint EV-DO announcement, such as: Sprint Boosting Speeds on Wi-Fi Network and Sprint's Billion-Dollar WiFi Investment. EV-DO is a cellular technology that has nothing to do with WiFi -- even if George Gilder thinks thinks one will kill the other.
