WiFi Security For Companies That Don't Have WiFi

Last week we noted that, while many companies weren't coming up with wireless plans, lots of their employees were just moving ahead with their own wireless solutions - causing more of a security headache than if the IT folks had just dealt with it in the first place. Someone, in the comments, expressed shock that people would put unauthorized WiFi access points on the company network - but it happens all the time. For this exact reason, David Berlind has written a column pointing out that IT workers need to figure out a way to find rogue WiFi access points. He points out that most rogue APs aren't actually "malicious," but that doesn't mean they aren't a security threat.
