Why Don't You Tell Us How You Really Feel About The 800MHz Battle?
Okay, at this point it's just getting silly. Every day seems to bring yet another very public "letter" from either the CTIA or Nextel concerning what to do with Nextel and their use of the 800MHz spectrum. Both sides claim that what they're doing is best from a public safety perspective (in fact, the latest CTIA letter goes on and on about public safety). Unfortunately for the CTIA public safety agencies actually support Nextel's plan - which kind of undermines their argument that their plan is better from a public safety standpoint. No matter what, though, we feel that the two sides (and the FCC) should just stop with all of this public bickering, lock themselves in a room for the weekend and hash out a deal already.
