Stunning Predictions: The Wireless Web Will Grow
Just in case you couldn't understand the simplest of trend lines, a research group has come out with a report saying that more people will use the internet via wireless connections five years from now. They're predicting nearly 600 million wireless web users in 2008 - which is mostly a meaningless number. Basically, prices are going to drop, and more people will use it. There's also the fact that the technology will get better, faster and easier to use. These sorts of reports tend to be useful for the press (who love numbers they can quote) and companies who want to show "market opportunity" to investors.
