This one was too sweet to pass up, even if insignificant: Taking a page from Jeff Spicoli of the venerable 1982 teen film Fast Times At Ridgemont High, who won the lotto then blew the winnings hiring Aerosmith to play his 20th birthday party, Waterloo, Ontario-based RIM celebrated its 20th by...hiring Aerosmith and the Barenaked Ladies to play its 20th birthday party this weekend. The company rented the local auditorium for the secret event for some 3000 staff, affiliated companies, and friends. Ummm...Mike, what have you got planned for Techdirt's 10th birthday in a couple of years? Step up.
