Neural Networks For Better Wireless
This one seems a bit far out there, but a researcher working on neural networking techniques believes his "echo state networks" will be useful in creating wireless networks with high bandwidth at lower power. The article is a bit technical, but seems to describe a better method allowing the creation of ad hoc wireless mesh networks without having to worry about how to model the overall network.
