Putting More Thought Into Mobile Phone Design
TheFeature is running an odd sort of interview (not a single quote from the guy they interviewed!) talking about some of the problems in modern mobile phone design. The guy being interviewed seems to suggest that most mobile phones suffer from the same problem many new technologies encounter: they're designed (often by engineers) without much thought on how the end-user will actually use the device and what will appeal to him or her. I'd agree that mobile phone design is still problematic, but I think it's getting better, and more companies are doing more research. It may take some time, but I don't think this is an unsolvable problem.
