Cingular Will Be Patient With Mobitex Users
While other carriers are pushing to move users to higher speed networks, Cingular has apparently decided that they'll be patient and won't rush users off their Mobitex network in the near future - even as they continue to build out much faster networks. This seems like a smart move for now. Rather than anger users who are perfectly content, let them keep going. Eventually, the benefits of moving to a faster network should become obvious, and there really won't be that many Mobitex users left to migrate.
