Lots Of WiFi Equipment Failing Certification Tests
The Wi-Fi Alliance is saying that over 25% of the equipment they test has failed to receive WiFi certification. That equipment can still be marketed as 802.11-compatible, but without the WiFi name. Of course, the article doesn't say how many products actually go that far, and how many go back to tinkering to try to get certification instead.
