The Rise Of In-Building Wireless Repeaters
Unstrung is reporting that the time has finally come for in-building wireless to take off. People are getting to the point where they rely on their mobile phones way too much to have them not work inside a building. While some carriers are experimenting with in-building solutions to extend their signal, the article suggests that a multi-carrier system, put up by the building owner, often makes more sense (obviously, by working with the signals for multiple carriers). Of course, you have to wonder if this is always going to be an issue, or if this is only a short-term problem.
