China Discovers Mobile Phones And Text Messaging
It appears that people in China have discovered text messaging and don't plan on letting go any time soon. Last year text messages in China rose over 90%. Also, mobile phone users outnumber landline users - and the gap appears to be spreading. Right now, they're about equal (a bit over 270 million of each), but last month there were over 8 million new mobile phone subscribers and only 5.6 million new landline subscribers.
