The Return Of AT&T Wireless As An AT&T Property
I never quite understood why AT&T sold off AT&T Wireless, when clearly that was a part of the business they were going to need to be involved in. It was especially odd that they left AT&T Wireless with the AT&T brand name, despite being a totally separate company as that set up the potential for serious conflicts. Of course, now that Cingular is buying AT&T Wireless, that conflict should go away. Snuck in further down on this article about AT&T's plans is a note saying that, on completion of the merger, the AT&T Wireless name reverts back to AT&T, and they're suddenly interested in relaunching their own wireless property, which will likely be called AT&T Wireless.
