More Wireless Customers Leaving Landlines Behind
If you're looking for a trend that you can predict with pretty good certainty is going to continue over the next few years, how about the fact that young adults are ditching landlines in favor of mobile phones. I imagine we'll be seeing articles like this one every few months for the next few years. The real question is what are the various phone companies doing about it. The really smart ones never gave up on their mobile phone divisions. The others are scrambling to tie themselves to a wireless carrier so that this is no longer cannibalization of revenue, but a shifting of revenue.
