Verizon Wireless Offering True World Phone
Looks like Verizon Wireless and Vodafone are trying to show that they've put their differences behind them as quickly as possible. Verizon Wireless has said that they'll soon be introducing a dual CDMA/GSM phone that would be a true "world phone." This should make Vodafone happy, as they haven't been sure how to deal with the fact that Verizon Wireless uses CDMA while all of Vodafone's networks are GSM. They don't say who will supply the headset or much about it at all, actually. While the article focuses on the conflict between the two companies, I doubt this announcement has much to do with that. If it was just announced, it's likely they've been planning it since well before Vodafone made their move to buy AT&T Wireless and dump Verizon Wireless.
