Hotspot Users Increasing, Whether Or Not Bosses Realize It
Gartner has come out with a new report stating the obvious: a lot more people will be using WiFi hotspots by the end of the year. However, the more important point is that many of these people are going to be office workers using hotspots for work - and they're going to do it on their own if companies don't set up specific policies. Thus, it makes an awful lot of sense for companies to come up with WiFi hotspot policies (and subscription plans, if they want to go that route) as well as setting up firewalls and secure VPNs to keep hotspot users (and their data) safe as they travel.
