Where Are The Multiplayer Mobile Games?
The big mystery continues. Online gaming is huge. Video games are very popular with kids. Mobile phones are incredibly popular with kids. So, why aren't there more multiplayer mobile games? There have been a few small forays into the space, but no big success. Carlo Longino, over at TheFeature is wondering if someone's going to have to release some sort of massively hyped "Mobile Sims" or something of that nature to get the space moving. I think the space will catch on eventually, but these things never occur as fast as people hope. You're dealing with two new areas (online games and mobile applications) - and everyone's feeling their way around each space on its own before they make the obvious leap to combine the two.
