WiFi As An Economic Driver
This article at WiFi Planet claims that Charleston's municipal WiFi is different from other municipal WiFi offerings, in that it's designed to become an economic driver, boosting business in downtown areas. I'm confused as to how this is different from any other free municipal WiFi offering. The whole point of adding free WiFi is to bring more business to the area, and I don't think any town or city that offers up WiFi would deny that was the reason they put it up in the first place.
