Ditching The Landline... And Crawling Back
There are all these stories showing up about people ditching their landlines and going completely wireless. Of course, that's not working for everyone. Gizmodo pointed us to a story about one guy who ditched his landline only to realize that he needed it, and ended up crawling back to the phone company to ask for them to put the landline back. He says that fewer people called him at home, partly because it was more annoying to talk to him on the mobile phone - and he started making fewer calls for the same reason. While mobile phone quality is definitely improving, it's still not nearly as good as landlines, and many people may still regret making the big switch.
