Over in the UK a company has come up with another interesting use for camera phones and mobile messaging. Empics is going to offer a service for sports fans which will send photos of important plays at sporting events within twenty seconds of the action happening. Basically, they're taking the idea of sporting alerts and adding a near-real-time photo to it. When dealing with sports fans, who are often willing to pay for such things, it sounds like a good idea.
