Railroad Tickets By SMS
Everything's going wireless. An anonymous reader has submitted a story about people ordering train tickets via SMS. If no tickets are available and you're put on a waiting list, they'll send updates to you via your phone. Seems like a good idea. Of course, since many train systems I'm familiar with let you get on a train and wait for a conductor to come around and take your ticket (such that some people try to get a free ride...) could mean that people would wait until they got on board to buy their ticket, and only do so once the ticket taker is heading down the aisle.
