Taking Cameraphone Pictures Remotely
Via picturephoning.com comes news of this bizarre little application that will let you take a picture remotely on your camera phone. Of course, you need to be able to send your phone an SMS to have it work, so you need another phone or a web SMS gateway to get it to work. Why in the world would this be useful? Well, if you've lost your phone and calling it doesn't produce a ring indicating where it is, you can just have it take a picture of where it is. Of course, as picturephoning points out, you'd better hope that (a) the camera isn't facing down or (b) you can recognize that ceiling. The site promoting the software suggests it can be used for other things like remote spying and such, but that seems pretty limited.
