Telemarketers Not To Call Ported Landlines
Telemarketers find themselves in a conundrum as the result of the FCC decision to allow landline-to-mobile number portability. For almost a decade, telemarketers have been barred from calling mobile phones, but if a landline number is ported to mobile, the telemarketers won't know it's now a mobile number. While this is a real problem that will probably get solved by creating a database of wired-to-wireless ported numbers which the marketers can reference.
