EDGE Is Spreading...
While lots of attention was paid last week to AT&T Wireless launching their nationwide EDGE offering, it appears that EDGE is showing up around the world. We've discussed this many times before - but now that 3G hasn't taken off as quickly as everyone expected, EDGE is making a lot more sense as a middle step (sometimes called 2.75G, because we just can't have enough middle steps). The article includes a nice little map showing where various EDGE deployments are being worked on, suggesting that it really is getting attention outside of the US and Canada.
