Symbian's Good News/Bad News Announcement
Despite being private, Symbian decided to release their latest (unaudited) financial results. And depending on which reporter picked up the story, it could be pitched as either a good news or a bad news type of story. The Register leads with the fact that revenue is noticeably down for the quarter, but on the upside more phones are shipping with Symbian software. So, it doesn't take reading the fine print to realize that they're getting less revenue per phone shipped. The Register article also points out that they have a lot of revenue due in Q4 from new models shipping with Symbian.
