Court Tosses Mobile Phone Cancer Lawsuit
An appeals court tossed out an appeal from a doctor who wanted to sue a bunch of wireless carriers, saying that his mobile phone caused his brain cancer. He had wanted to add additional "expert" testimony, but the court ruled that the testimony was neither relevant nor reliable (ouch). By this point, there seems to be plenty of evidence suggesting that phones, by themselves, don't do much to contribute to cancer, and the guy did nothing to prove otherwise.
