Microsoft's WiFi Announcement About Nothing In Particular
Microsoft is getting some press this morning for some announcements about improved WiFi software, but the actual guts of the announcement seem a little difficult to parse. Glenn Fleishman takes a stab at rewriting the press release for Microsoft, but points out that it's a pretty minor announcement. However, for most reporters, any "major" company announcing something new in WiFi means they need to get press coverage. It appears that all the announcement is really saying is that the next version of Windows, along with an update for Windows XP, will make it easier to connect via WiFi.
