Is WiFi the next big thing in China? It depends on who you talk to, apparently. According to China Daily there's huge demand for WiFi in China and WiFi equipment sales are only going to increase rapidly in the near future. However, this other article from Silicon.com suggests that WiFi won't be nearly as popular as other wireless technologies. The one thing that is clear is that it's a very large, but chaotic, developing market. Correctly predicting the success or failure of a single wireless technology in China right now is going to be more of a lucky guess than an informed opinion.
