AT&T CEO Can't Get Cellular Service In His House

from the can-you-hear-me-now? dept

AT&T's CEO, Dave Dorman, mentioned in a speech that, despite being who he is, he can't use his AT&T Wireless mobile phone in his house, and is forced to go out to the driveway to make phone calls. Of course, AT&T and AT&T Wireless are two totally separate companies at this point (though, clearly, most people confuse the two). Also, it's pretty clear he's not asking for pity, but to convince his neighbors to stop blocking the building of new towers. So, now here's the question I'm wondering: is Mr. Dorman planning on switching to a different carrier this November when local number portability comes about, letting him keep his phone number while moving to another carrier?
