Symbol Wins WiFi Patent Suit Against Proxim - Proxim Says Not So Fast
In the ever-fun world of patent litigation, the latest mess to boil up is Symbol has won a patent lawsuit against Proxim, saying that Proxim's WiFi products violate their patents. Proxim says not to worry, because they're still getting ready for another lawsuit where they accuse Symbol of violating their patents. In the end, it's likely that there will be some sort of settlement with cross-licensing arranged. In the meantime though, we have another example of patents not stimulating innovation, but simply increasing the wallets of some patent lawyers.
