Mobile Phone Using Landlines
I've heard people talk about similar devices, but this is the first time I've heard of one actually being offered. It's actually a software application that will let mobile phones make calls over landlines by connecting to an access point via Bluetooth or WiFi. It appears this is slightly different than folks working on "Voice over WiFi" phones - as this actually involves a server that connects to an office PBX system. Clearly, this is designed for office users, though the article says other companies are working on a model for homes as well.
